I visited Helen Reef for 3 days in April 2017.  Helen Reef is an incredibly beautiful and remote atoll that lies between Palau and Indonesia in the Western Pacific.  The pass into the sheltered lagoon is flanked by a stunning, shallow reef.  There is only one tiny, sand island that lies in the North of the atoll. A few rangers live here in order to deter illegal fishing in the area. This is an otherwise uninhabited, and rarely visited corner of the globe.
